According to an ancient legend, a poor Brahmin family was deeply devoted to Lord Shiva. The Brahmin's wife faithfully observed every Pradosh Vrat. One day, their son went for a bath in the Ganga, but on the way, soldiers mistakenly accused him of being a thief and imprisoned him.
